Indications And Usage

 

The meloxicam 100 mg bolus is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of various inflammatory and painful conditions in large animals. These conditions include: 

• Musculoskeletal disorders: This includes conditions such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, myositis (muscle inflammation), lameness, and sprains.
• Infections (as supportive therapy with antibiotics): It is used to reduce clinical signs of pain and fever associated with conditions like pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, pleuritis, mastitis (udder inflammation), and otitis (ear inflammation).
• Post-operative pain and inflammation: It is used following surgical interventions such as dehorning or castration in calves to provide pain relief and improve recovery.
• Other conditions: It may also be used for conditions like uterine prolapse and rheumatic conditions in animals.
